AM13 Air and surfaces disinfection UV lamp
You keep your business open,
We keep your people safe!
The new Coronavirus came into our lives quickly and unannounced - and it seems to be here to stay. Thus, we were forced to find fast and efficient solutions, on short and medium run, in order to protect ourselves and the ones around us from getting infected. After a few months of self isolation, home office, suspended businesses for unlimited periods of time, and after taking precautions such as gloves, surgical masks and different types of disinfectants, we are in the phase where we have to get back to “normality” step by step. All these while implementing the best prevention methods in order to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
AM13 air and surfaces disinfection UV lamp
So far, the disinfection method using the UV-C rays proved itself to be the easiest and most effective way in preventing the spread of Coronavirus in public spaces. With a wavelength between 100 and 280 nm, this solution eliminates any contamination with microorganisms, especially viruses, as shortwave ultraviolet (UV-C) radiation has the ability to destroy the structure of DNA, thus eliminating 99.9% of microorganisms.
How it works
Despite the extraordinary effect, the usage of this lamp is very easy. You have to connect it to a power supply and, after turning it on, it starts working with a 15 seconds delay. It can be operated from distance by using a remote controller. The delay is caused on purpose so the user can leave the room before the lamp starts functioning. It is very important to keep your pets and kids out of the room while the UV-C lamp is on. This sterilization method operates within a radius of 100 square meters and can be set to operate for 15, 30 or 60 minutes. During this time, it transforms the house and the objects into completely decontaminated and disinfected surfaces.
How it acts
A study published in The New England Journal of Medicine shows that the virus can stay active up to 72 hours. Therefore, when it comes to spaces exposed to heavy traffic, an efficient and serious hygiene approach is absolutely necessary. UV-C ultraviolet rays have the ability to destroy microorganisms such as viruses, mites or bacteria by stopping their reproduction and destroying them by disintegrating their DNA. According to an article published by Libertatea, at the Radiological Research Center of Columbia University in New York, experiments were performed with UV-C lamps against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19 disease. The results of tests performed in a high-grade biological laboratory show that the new virus is destroyed within minutes of its exposure to ultraviolet rays.
Where it is used
UV-C radiation has been used for some time in hospitals and other places where disinfection is necessary, due to their efficiency in eliminating bacteria, viruses and mold. In the context of Coronavirus, these rays are already being used by a Shanghai public transport company, Yanggao, which has turned a regular bus wash tunnel into a disinfection area equipped with 120 UV lamps.
Researchers believe that in the future, UV-C lamp lighting will become the new norm. Thus, they will be placed on the ceiling in public spaces to limit the transmission and spread of microbes. Their use will not only prevent the spread of the new Coronavirus, but could also drastically reduce seasonal flu, which kills hundreds of thousands of people worldwide each year.
Benefits:
• It is an eco-friendly solution that does not require the use of chemicals to sanitize spaces and surfaces
• Disinfects objects, surfaces and spaces with maximum efficiency
• Increases the shelf life of products by avoiding subjecting them to chemical treatments

The business environment has suffered greatly from the health crisis caused by the new COVID-19. Businesses such as public transport, hotels, commercial spaces, cinemas and others that involve high traffic of people that could possibly be carrying the virus are still in the process of adapting to the new reality. Under these conditions, the UV-C lamp is a solution as effective as it is necessary to limit the spread of Coronavirus.
